Microrganisms are found in almost any environment in nature. Microbes (from Greek: μικρός - small, βίος - life) are all smaller than 100 µm and include viruses and bacteria.

Viruses can only reproduce in the host cells that they infect since they do not have the the cellular apparatus for self-reproduction. The virus attached to the host cell and injects its genetic material (DNA or RNA). The host's reproductive machinery replicated the viral genetic material and new virus particles are assembled inside the host cell. In the last stage of the process, the host cell raptures and releases new virus particles.

Viral particles are transmitted quickly via several routes including air droplets, touch, and sexual intercourse.

Bacteria are single cell organisms that cannot be seen with the naked eye. Most of the bacteria live in symbiosis with the host, however, about 2% of bacteria are pathogenic and are known to cause serious diseases.

Many serious and life-threatening diseases in humans are caused by viruses, including but not limited to:
- Measles
- Herpes
- Flu
- Hepatitis
- Rabies
- Ebola

Some of the most well-known human diseases caused by pathogenic bacteria include:
- Tuberculosis
- Leprosy
- Salmonellosis
- Cholera
- Typhoid Fever
- Syphilis
- Plague

3. FLU

Flu or influenza is an acute infectious disease caused by the Influenza virus (both type A and type B). The most common symptoms of the flu are characterized by strong headache, fever, muscle pain and inflammation of the upper respiratory track.

People infected with the flu virus are most contagious in the first 3 to 4 days after their illness begins. Symptoms can begin in about 2 days (but can range from 1 to 4 days) after the virus enters the body. This means that you can pass on the flu to someone else before you know you are sick, as well as while you are sick. Even people with no symptoms can spread the virus to others. This allows the influenza virus to rapidly spread among the human population and is the cause of the seasonal flu epidemics each year.

Infected individuals are at an increased risk of other serious health complications:
- Endocrine diseases - diabetes
- Cardiovascular diseases
- Kidney diseases
- Liver disease
- Asthma
- Diseases of the blood
- Chronic pulmonary diseases

The influenza A and B viruses that routinely spread in people (human influenza viruses) are responsible for seasonal flu epidemics each year.

"After encountering the effectiveness of olive leaf extract as a prevention and treatment of infections, I and my wife, Joan, began taking the extract prophylactically. As a daily supplement, olive leaf extract can help us maintain good health!"

"...Natural antibiotics provide an alternative to conventional antibiotic drugs with the added benefit of reduced or no side effects. Olive leaf extract is one of the most potent natural antibiotics that we know about."

Dr. Morton Walker lists more than 100 microorganisms that can be effectively destroyed by olive leaf extract.

People who are exposed to daily stress are particularly susceptible to getting a cold and viruses. They can benefit from the prolonged use of olive leaf extract as a boost to the immune system.
Laboratory tests show that olive leaf extract can significantly reduce cold and flu sensitivity.

Dr. Robert Lyons performs a clinical trial of his patients using olive leaf extract. Of the 164 patients suffering from respiratory and pulmonary diseases (colds, flu, pulmonary problems, and the like), 157 recovered completely and 7 improved while using the olive leaf extract.

This is a success rate of almost 96%!

In the year 2000 William Fredrickson registers a patent in the USA.

"A method of treatment of diseases of viral origin is disclosed. The method comprises oral or parenteral administration of an antiviral amount of a naturally occurring secoiridoid from plants of the family Oleaceae or derivatives thereof. Preferred oral dosage forms include the secoiridoid oleuropein in pure form or as a component of dried plant material of Olea europaea or a dried extract thereof and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier."

People who are exposed to daily stress are particularly susceptible to viral infections. They can benefit from the regular use of olive leaf extract to boost their immune system. Laboratory tests show that olive leaf extract can significantly reduce the duration of the cold and the flu.

Olive leaf extract is rich in polyphenolic compounds. One of the best known and studied polyphenolic compounds is oleuropein. Oleuropein is known to carry potent antimicrobial, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Laboratory experiments have shown that oleuropein and its derivatives are effective against many microorganisms, including viruses and bacteria. Compounds found in the olive leaf extract interact with viral particles and block the virus genetic material from entering the host cell, thus suppressing the reproduction and spread of viruses that cause respiratory infections

When taken at the onset of a cold or flu symptoms, olive leaf extract prevents or shortens the duration of the disease.

How olive leaf extract works against viruses and bacteria:

- Olive leaf extract - in case of viral infection acts by deactivating specific viral cells or by limiting their multiplication by stimulating the production of fungocytes. Fungocytes are the so-called T-killer cells, which are a major part of the human body's immune system.

- Olive leaf extract interferes with the production of amino acids necessary for the survival of specific microbes, such as viruses, bacteria, parasites or fungi.

- Olive leaf extract
can directly stimulate the formation of immune system cells that fight against different types of germs.

ОLIVE BOOST – A Unique Wild Olive Leaf Extract

We believe that by creating Olive Boost we have created a unique extract.

Why Olive Boost is different?

- We are the only one in Greece, producing a luquid olive leaf extract from Wild Olive Trees
- We collect the leaves from specially selected areas only during the Springtime, to ensure the highest content of polyphenols!
- We use only fresh leaves
- We do not use any chemicals or additives, neigher in the production proces nor as a perservative
- Our technology has been created and improved with the experience that we've gathered through a long period of time and the pursuit of perfecti

Long-term intake of the normally recommended prophylactic dose of 2 times a day x 10 drops of Olive Boost will gradually lead to a stronger immune system, less frequent and milder illnesses. It can be used for an indefinite period of time without the risk of side effects. The effect of taking the extract is strictly individual. If you have existing medical conditions or take medication, please, consult your doctor before starting the intake of Olive Boost.
